Social commentary about how Japan is obsessed with being thin and dieting with a girl who doesn’t fit into that mold? UFA can we get more of this? Please, please, please? I think was Tsunku’s way of showing everyone that you can shine and be beautiful no matter what size you are. I’m really loving how we’re seeing more of Zukki lately and I can just tell that this is doing wonders for her self confidence.

Putting everyone else aside because they’re being total bosses and owning this Berryz song, can we please put some emphasis on how much Ayacho’s singing has improved? She’s been at the singing thing since she was pretty young but within the past couple of years, the face of S/mileage has improved in leaps and bounds. Perhaps she got some private vocal lessons on her own but damn girl, I’m loving this new Ayacho. :D Keep at it.
And last but not least, I can’t not share this. We know the ace can sing and dance, same with Maimi and Ayacho. However, the focus was actually more on the four in the back! Eripon, Harunan, Kananan and Yuka all sound amazing and are dancing on par with the front girls. They picked the right mix of girls for this performance of Golden Chinatown.
If H!P keeps levelling up like this and bringing their A-Game, I don’t think I’ll have to write another Help Riho! post or something similar to it.
